Hands down the best happy hour in Dallas. Everyday 5-7pm weekends included. $6 cocktails, plenty of apps to chose from for a great price. Service is always great, very relaxed vibes. I live within walking distance and pick this place 1-2 times a week because of both of these things. People are friendly if you're sitting at the bar. Highly recommend
Came here a couple times for drinks, but the last time came for food and let me just tell you the portions are HUGE!!!! I got the tenders and I'm sure I got a whole freaking chicken. The dipping sauce was delicious! They also have happy hour every day and have a huge drink menu on happy hour. It was pretty busy on a Saturday afternoon and super lively with all the tvs playing different games. Will definitely check out more for happy hour!
The service was great. We sat ourselves since it was self seating , and a server attended to us immediately, despite how busy it was. The restaurant feels cozy , yet still more upscale than your usual dive bar or burger spot. There's a full bar with a good list of cocktails, beer and wine. Our server helped me choose a drink and the most delicious burger I've had in a while, the TSP burger! The fries were crispy and fresh. Can't go wrong with and sandwich and fries at The Standard Pour.
The Standard Pour really surprised me! I came on a Tuesday night around 630pm (happy hour is 5-7) and ordered a drink and an entree. I got the peach bourbon drink that was $7 and the lobster ravioli. The drink was pretty good for the HH price but nothing amazing. The lobster ravioli on the other hand was delicious! The cream sauce was top tier - haven't had a better sauce in the city. A few notes though - I personally don't care for ravioli but my waiter told me next time I can choose a different pasta. I find that the ravioli stuffing isn't really seasoned and ricotta can be grainy. The grilled lobster tail that it's served with tasted fine but it was kind of hard to bite/cut through. The vibe was casual.. a mix between a sports bar and a cocktail bar. Now this isn't a knock to the standard pour but parking in this neighborhood is TOUGH. The lot next door is $25 but there's a free garage down the street near Parliament as well as street parking.
The Standard Pour was a treat. After leaving a concert late on Sunday evening, we were hungry and not ready to go home. Open seating was great. Within 5 minutes we had water brought to our table and placed our food orders. The chicken tenders were finger licking good, like I was literally shocked at how flavorful they were. The fries were decent as well. My friend ordered the burger and fries which she enjoyed as well. I ordered some fruity drink with vodka and it was strong but tasty. Margarita was good. All around a good time. I think I spent about $29 for tenders, fries and a drink. Not too shabby.
One of the only places uptown with a kitchen open past midnight!! I thoroughly enjoyed my Buffalo chicken sandwich and Watermelon-Basil margarita. Great atmosphere and good customer service as well. Apparently happy hour is all day on Mondays. Woohoo! I'll be back.
I've been here a few times but never got around to reviewing this is a timeless happy hour spot. Cheap drinks, good food, I love the patio but it does get busy so make sure to make a reservation or come early. I got the frozen rose which was not as good as I've had it here before but that's okay, the pain killer and the seasonal sangria. We spilt the bruschetta which had a good portion size! We also split their well known chicken fingers. Every time I want to split my bf always says it won't be enough food and it always is! 3 large chicken breast with ample dipping sauces. Makes for a cheap date and a buzz if that's what you're looking for! Can't wait for the next trip
me and my girlfriend came here late at night for some food. We tried the pretzel and it had way too much salt 0/10 disgusting, tooooooo salty... We also tried the lobster ravioli, which was one of the best fucking raviolis I have ever had to date. I don't think it gets any better than that. 10/10 I also ordered the bacon burger, which was pretty solid. It didn't taste like it was made on the grill. It tasted like it was made on the stove, but it was still pretty good. They cooked it very well. 10/10 amazing service , and it looked pretty nice inside great atmosphere. I forgot to mention, we tried the bread pudding and it was spectacular. 10/10 Thank you. -Santangelo Balli Gonzales
A staple Uptown bar; my favorite cocktail (and their specialty) is the mule, but you can't go wrong with anything off their cocktail menu. Their late-night menu comes in clutch when barhopping- they serve food until 2 am. The chicken tenders are the best thing on the menu- a huge portion of the juiciest chicken strips you will ever have with a crispy exterior and secret sauce for dipping. Service here is always quick, I've never made a reservation but you can typically snag a seat at the bar or a table. Large outdoor covered patio that gives you a good view of people watching the consistent late-night Uptown foot traffic. Plenty of seating inside, and a covered bar. It's always a good vibe here with good music and plenty of people.
Came in on St Pattys Day and weee seated immediately. Liked the ambiance of the place and that they offer outdoor seating. Chicken tenders (spicy): 7/10 while the portion size was huge, these were not spicy at all. Steak frites: 6.5/10 steak wasn't cooked as requested but enjoyed the French fries. Beef tenderloin sandwich: 7/10 flavor was good but wish the meat was cooked medium well. I asked for that but it was more red than I would've preferred. Enjoyed the fries and the bbq sauce.
